About Webmail Webmail is the Department of Education and Training's web-based email service. It works through a web browser, which means that you can access your email from any computer connected to the internet, anywhere in the world and at any time of the day or night. Your email will be sent and received via the Department's computers (servers) and will be subject to the same 'rules of use' as for Department employees. The Webmail service is just one of the services available on the DET Portal - logging on via the DET Portal automatically gives you access to any other available services (such as Calendar). The aim of this guide is to give you information on using Webmail to create, send, and receive emails, set up and use features like your Directory (or Contact address book), Filters, Folders and Mailing Lists. i This guide assumes that you have access to the Portal and that you have logged in.
