Preparing for reporting

Preparing for reporting
Preparing for reporting has the following three sections. Select from the menu on the left or click one of the links below to access the right information for you:

User access and role management
Information on the different role types available in Reporting to Parents and instructions for administrators on changing users’ roles and level of access.
Assessment and reporting management
Assessment and reporting management contains global configuration processes that will apply to the current reporting period and then also future reporting periods. These processes include the definition of school preferences, management of comment categories, assessment scales and nominated teachers.
Flexible delivery
The Flexible delivery tool assists with setting up the reporting arrangements where students are studying at more than one school.
Year group planning
Year group planning is a tool within the school preferences feature that allows school administrators to plan the learning areas and outcomes that will be reported on for each year group where SIS timetabling is not used. Additionally, it allows administrators to design a school profile by predefining those learning areas and outcomes that will be taught by classroom teachers and those that will be taught by specialist teachers.
Subject mapping
Subject mapping is a tool within the school preferences feature that allows school administrators to plan the learning areas, contexts and items that will be reported on for all subjects that appear on the SIS timetable. Once defined the learning areas, contexts and items will be automatically assigned to teacher/student’s groups when the end of year rollover occurs, minimising the time required to set up for reporting.
Setting up instrumental music groups
In order for SIM teachers to enter reporting data at your school they will need to be added to the Department Account Manager (DAM) as a visitor, and also given a user account in Integris so they may access the too Reporting to Parents software through the ikon.
EAL/D student administration
The EAL/D student administration function allows school administrators to view and update the information that will optionally appear on student’s report covers. Some of the fields it contains are extracted from the data held in SIS. Users may also update some additional fields for the purpose of producing report covers.
IEC student administration
The IEC student administration function allows intensive english centre administrators to view and update the information that will appear on a student’s exiting reports. Some of the fields it contains are extracted from the data held in SIS. Users may also update some additional fields for the purpose of producing the required data for an exiting report. Additionally, senior school IEC’s can make course recommendations for students entering back into mainstream schooling.
Special education needs reporting frameworks
The SEN reporting frameworks function allows school administrators to customise the default reporting framework for student with special education needs. Administrators may choose the preferred assessment scales that will appear on SEN reports as well as determine the learning areas, outcomes and aspects from the curriculum framework for students being reported against in this context.
Comment bank
The comment bank allows users to prepare comments that will be used to report on student achievement to parents.
