Selecting curriculum content descriptors

Content descriptors are drawn from the Western Australian Curriculum and are available for all learning areas from ABLEWA Stage A to Year 10. Selected content descriptors will be added to the student plan and can have results, goals, notes and where appropriate report comments added.

To select a curriculum content descriptor

•	Select the group plan

•	Click on the Learning Area Selection icon

•	Select the required learning area from the drop-down of learning areas associated with the student plan

•	If necessary, select the mode filter and/or strand filter by clicking on the search icons

•	Click on the curriculum year

•	Click on the appropriate year level (ABLEWA Stages A-D or WA Curriculum P-10) to determine the starting point for curriculum access. The year level selected will appear in the middle column with the year below on the left and the year above on the right.

Curriculum content descriptors appropriate the learning area and year level will be displayed.

	Use the vertical scroll bar to view all items.

•	Click on the description of the required content descriptor(s)

	Clicking on the description of a selected Content descriptor will de-select the item

	Selected Content descriptors will be visible in the Tree View
