School Curriculum and Standards Authority reporting
Schools are required to submit data to the School Curriculum and Standards Authority for the purpose of tracking a student’s progress to achieving the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).
Information is required for all students in Years 7 to 12 and must be uploaded electronically to the School Curriculum and Standards Authority’s Student Information Records System (SIRS).
Further information is available on the School Curriculum and Standards Authority website at: http:// http://www.scsa.wa.edu.au/ (online help users - right click and open in a new window/tab).
The School Curriculum and Standards Authority Reporting section of Reporting to Parents provides processes for:
The data required for reporting to the School Curriculum and Standards Authority will be drawn from both SIS and Reporting to Parents. The system will validate all data to confirm that it meets the requirements of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority.
Data entered into Reporting to Parents will be validated on entry to confirm that it conforms to these requirements.
Data entered into SIS may contain errors. The system will identify these errors and propose a solution. Corrections must be made in SIS.
Validated data will be provided to the School Curriculum and Standards Authority, reducing the administrative requirements of schools.
Schools have the responsibility of correcting remaining errors, checking data that has been automatically corrected and updating SIS where necessary.
