Preparing for reporting : Flexible delivery

Flexible delivery
Increasingly students are undertaking educational programs at more than one school or teachers are teaching at more than one school. This raises difficulties in terms of appropriate and efficient access to data for teachers and managing reporting to parents and to the School Curriculum and Standards Authority.
The central storage and student centric nature of data within the Reporting to Parents system provides a solution to the management of these issues. The Flexible delivery functionality is designed to provide the tools to assist with this management. The following scenarios are a focus:
The major function is to identify students that are in reporting groups at more than one school and to define which school will be responsible for reporting to parents and to the School Curriculum and Standards Authority.
Schools can elect to formally register a partnership with the School Curriculum and Standards Authority and be allocated an alliance code. This code can be recorded in Reporting to Parents and will appear on the school partnerships window. Schools in a registered alliance will be able to flag a reporting group as being delivered through the alliance. The offering, enrolment and achievement uploads to SIRS will then attribute the group to the alliance instead of the school and allow SIRS reports to be produced from the perspective of the alliance. Since the alliance enrolment will have students from multiple schools attributed to a single code, there is a reduced requirement to form a small group partnership.
Flexible delivery for VET type groups is based on the qualification. When responsibility for reporting to the SCSA or parents is selected, all competencies contained within the selected qualification will be dealt with in the same way.
