Students The Students tab will contain students that have a report name that differs from the SIS legal surname and first name values. This accommodates students with a name that exceeds the 36-character limit in SIS, enabling the name to appear correctly in Reporting to Parents and on student reports. To request that a student has an edited report name, contact the Reporting to Parents team via the ICT Customer Service Centre on (08) 9264 5555 or via the Ikon Self Service Hub. Note: • School administration users will not have access to the name change toolbar icons and other school users will not see the student list. • In most cases, the screen will be empty • Changes will apply to future periods unless subsequently changed • SIRS has a character length of 30 characters for student names. Continue to contact the SIRS help desk to request that a student certificate name is edited in SIRS when the surname or given name exceeds this length
