Achievement standard requirement

The achievement standard calculates a grade average based on completed units or a prediction including those not yet completed. The table will differ slightly depending on the graduating calendar year of the selected students.

Requirements

•	Achieve at least 14 C grades or higher (or the equivalent) in Year 11 and 12 units with a minimum of six C grades or the equivalent at Year 12

•	Complete four or more Year 12 ATAR courses or complete an AQF VET Certificate II or higher.

 

The rules used to calculate these values are:

Endorsed Program/VET Year 11 Unit equivalent	The sum of the Year 11 unit equivalences for Endorsed programs and VET.
Endorsed Program/VET Year 12 Unit equivalent	The sum of the Year 12 unit equivalences for Endorsed programs and VET.
Number of Year 12 C grades or higher	The number of Year 12 course units with a C grade or higher. • VET/Endorsed unit equivalence will count as a C grade • A unit does not count more than once • Achieved : >= 6 Year 12 units with grades A,B or C • Progressing : >= 6 Year 12 units with grades A,B,C or ungraded • At Risk : < 6 Year 12 units with grades A,B,C or ungraded for a Year 12 student
Total number of C grades or higher	The number of Year 11 or Year 12 course units with a C grade or higher. • VET/Endorsed unit equivalence will count as a C grade • A unit does not count more than once • Achieved: o >= 14 Year 11 or Year 12 units with grades A,B or C o >= 6 Year 12 units with grades A, B or C • Progressing: o >= 14 Year 12 units with grades A, B, C or ungraded o >= 6 Year 12 units with grades A, B, C or ungraded • At Risk: o < 14 Year 11 or Year 12 units with grades A, B, C or ungraded o < 6 Year 12 units with grades A, B, C or ungraded for a Year 12 student A Year 12 student more than 50% of achieved grades less than C will be highlighted as “Of Concern”.
Year 12 ATAR Courses	The number of Year 12 ATAR type courses • Achieved o >=4 Year 12 ATAR courses with grades of A, B, C, D or E • Progressing o >=4 Year 12 ATAR courses with grades of A, B, C, D, E or ungraded for a Year 12 student o >=4 Year 11 ATAR courses with grades of A, B, C, D, E or ungraded for a Year 11 student • At Risk o < 4 Year 12 ATAR courses with grades of A, B, C, D, E or ungraded for a Year 12 student o < 4 Year 11 ATAR courses with grades of A, B, C, D, E or ungraded for a Year 11 student o Not achieved or progressing in a AQF Cert II or higher
AQF Cert II or higher	The number of Certificate II or higher qualifications with a “Full Qualification” enrolment status • Achieved o >=1 achieved Cert II or higher qualification • Progressing o >= 1 Cert II or higher qualification with a Full Qualification Enrolment status • At Risk o No Cert II or higher qualification with a Full Qualification Enrolment status o Not achieved progressing in the Year 12 ATAR Course requirement
Achievement Standard Requirement	• Achieved o Achieved status for each of “Number of Year 12 C Grades or higher”, “Total number of C grades or higher”, “Year 12 ATAR Courses” or “AQF Cert II or higher” • Progressing o Progressing status in at least one of the above • At Risk o At Risk status in at least one of the above
