WACE eligible

The WACE eligible table summarises the course counts in each area of the WACE. The summary is used to determine the status of the student’s progress to meeting the WACE requirement to complete either:

•	at least four Year 12 ATAR courses

•	at least five Year 12 General courses and/or ATAR courses or equivalent

•	a Certificate II (or higher) VET qualification in combination with ATAR, General or Foundation courses

Students that satisfy at least one of these course options are considered WACE eligible.

	Year 11 course counts are considered as an indicator of Year 12 intention in advance of Year 12 courses becoming available.



To accommodate a student changing courses at the completion of Semester 1, for example, from AECHE (A1CHE) to G2ISC, the course count will be based on the Semester 2 units rather than paired units as the best indication of Year 12 selections. In this instance, the course count will change from 1 ATAR to 1 General.

The WACE Eligible column provides an indication of progress towards the requirement.

The values displayed in this column are:

WACE Eligible Status	Indicator	Description
At Risk		The student is not able to complete any of the course options
Progresing		The student is working towards achieving one of the course options
Achieved		The student has achieved one of the course options

Hovering over the WACE Course Summary header (and the WACE Eligible column header) will display hovertext indicating the specific WACE requirement details.
