Use the following procedure if you want to give a new user, who does not have a HRMIS or Oracle webmail login, access to SAIS.
The Find User screen is displayed.
Login Name - This is the username or User ID for the account.
Email Address - This is the address that will be used for all system generated emails, including password reminder emails and emailed reports.
Password - Give the new user a meaningful, secure password (see Password Tips below).
Confirm Password - retype the password exactly as typed in the previous step.
Roles - This tab is used to assign the new user a 'role' when using SAIS. The role determines what the user can do (edit or view) and see within the application.
Schools - This tab is used to determine the schools for which the new user can view and edit data.
Available Roles - This lists all of the valid roles for SAIS.
Assigned Roles - This lists the SAIS roles that have been assigned to the user.
Select the appropriate role, or roles, for the user in the Available Roles list box.
Click thebutton to add the selected role or roles to the Assigned Roles list box.
To remove assigned roles, simply select the role in the Assigned Roles list box and then click thebutton.
Available Schools - This lists all of the schools available for use within SAIS.
Assigned Schools - This lists the schools that have been assigned for the user. When prompted to select a school within SAIS, the user will see the assigned schools in the list.
Available Districts - This lists all of the districts available for use within SAIS.
Assigned Districts - This lists the districts that have been assigned for the user. When prompted to select a district within SAIS, the user will see the assigned districts in the list.
Select the appropriate school, or schools, for the user in the Available Schools list box.
Click thebutton to add the selected school or schools to the Assigned Schools list box.
To remove assigned schools, simply select the school in the Assigned Schools list box and then click thebutton.
