VET Options

This is used to set the default parameters for VET. This option is available only for schools using the VET.

The options are:

•	Create Qualification Groups from VET Reporting Groups

When this option is selected, when a VET reporting group is manually created in Reporting Group Maintenance, the ‘create qualification group’ checkbox will default to selected. If a timetabled VET reporting group is auto populated in Reporting Group Maintenance, a qualification group will automatically be created in the VET window.

•	Create Qualification Groups from VET Industry Specific Unit

Reporting Groups

When this option is selected, when a VET Industry Specific reporting group is manually created in Reporting Group Maintenance and the associated VET qualification has been selected, the ‘create qualification group’ checkbox will default to ‘selected’. If a timetabled VET reporting group is auto populated in Reporting Group Maintenance, a qualification group will automatically be created in the VET window.

•	Create VET Reporting Groups from Manually created Qualification Groups

When this option is selected, a manually created qualification group in the VET window that contains students will appear in the Reporting Group Maintenance window as a VET reporting group type.

•	Allow automated acceptance of Competency recommendations

When this option is selected, when a teacher enters a recommended competency result in the data entry window, the result will automatically convert to final results in the report data entry screen and VET window.

•	Allow automated acceptance of qualification recommendations

When this option is selected, when a teacher records a final qualification result of ‘Achieved’ in report data entry, and all competencies have final results, the qualification is marked as ‘full qualification enrolment’ and compliant, the qualification will be automatically marked as achieved in the VET qualification window.

•	Create and attach Assessment Outlines for VET Type groups

When this option is selected, an assessment outline will be automatically created and attached to any VET group automatically created from a VET qualification type reporting group or manually created within the VET qualifications tab.

•	Default to Full Qualification Enrolment

When this option is selected, student qualifications added automatically from VET qualification type reporting groups or added manually will default to a full qualification enrolment.

•	Allow VET qualifications in Report Data Entry

When selected, the option will be available to teachers and VET administrators.

•	Allow teachers to record RTO endorsement of competency achievement

When selected, teachers of VET groups will be able to record the requests for RTO validation of competency achievement and the receipt of RTO endorsement or competency achievement.
